While doing the research for my article, I’m having a
difficult time finding the desired quotes. I find that this is hugely in part
to a few reasons: one, that usually when you’re having a lifesaving procedure,
it’s just that—Lifesaving. You don’t really get a choice of time when your
heart stops beating, or when you have a stroke. Two, a lot of procedures are
already being performed by choice, either cosmetic, or another type of
procedure that it’s required to be put under. Either way though, I will find
the information I need to turn this into a great paper!

I had a very difficult time coming up with a theme for my
position article. What I finally ended up doing was the fact that having an
anesthetic procedure is worth the risk. I know it sounds obvious (at least to
me) that this is a no brainer; however, during writing this paper I have had a
few family members, and friends inquire about the dangers, and risks involved.
So I’m attempting this article, in hopes of opening a few eyes to the wonderful
world of anesthesia and analgesics.

In class this week we talked a lot about staking a claim, and backing it
up with reasons and evidence. I'm having a very difficult time coming up with a
claim for this topic. I could do something easy like, "Having anesthesia
during an operation is painless," but I feel like that's just not recent
enough news, so I'm trying to come up with something more moving, that has two
or more strong opinionated sides. I think I may have an idea, but I’m going to
give it some more thought, and sleep on it. Check back later for my exciting
decision!
The editing tool for this site royally irritates me. It's adding additional line breaks where I do not want them, and I cannot delete them. Then when I want a line break, it will not allow it. On top of that, every time I preview the adjustments I've made it changes the font I've chosen, and the size. I'm trying to make this look as professional as possible without having to dig out my HTML code book, but I'm about to throw in the towel with blogger.com
