About

IV Anesthetic Medication
The purpose of this blog is to help you gain insight if this career is the right choice for you. It will help you understand the type of schooling that is required and the base salary of Anesthesiologists, and what type of work will be performed. It will also give you a few reasons why I have chosen this path.

My name is Jason Roberts and I'm going to school to be a Doctor, more specifically, an Anesthesiologist. I just started this long journey, and I’m very excited to experience the up’s and down’s that surely will be coming. Along with being certified in phlebotomy, I am also certified as an Emergency Medical Technician, and currently working on my Advanced certification at this time.

One of the reasons I chose such a demanding and difficult career, is my desire to help others. The majority of people think that Anesthesiologists just put people to sleep during surgeries, however that is a misconception—They keep that person alive! I also would only be focusing on one patient at a time, so I could give them 100% of my attention, which is critical in this field.

I hope that you can learn something from the work, and find the information that you are seeking. I also want to share with you that you are never too old to go back to school; I am now 27 years old, and just starting this long road.

I'll also give some information about Anesthesia Awareness, which concerns some about going under. I'll additionally tell you of Gabriele F. Roden's story of becoming an anesthesiologist.
